To test this part turn the electric scooter or bike on and accelerate the throttle a little. If the chain moves and the rear sprocket spins but the back wheel does not move that points toward a defective rear wheel freewheel mechanism.

Chain breakers do not actually "break" the chain. They remove the pins that hold the chain links together. When two of the pins are removed the chain can be taken apart by hand. Master links are used to connect chain together into a continuous solid loop.

#25 chain is used on electric scooters, bicycles, and pocket bikes.
#25 chain has a 1/4" spacing between each chain link and is approximately 1/4" wide.
#35 chain is used on mopeds, mini-bikes and go-karts.
#35 chain has a 3/8" spacing between each chain link and is approximately 3/8" wide.
8mm chain is used on pocket bikes.
8mm chain has an 8mm spacing between each chain link and is approximately 10mm wide.
Bicycle chain is used on bicycles and electric bicycles.
Bicycle chain has 1/2" spacing between each chain link and is approximately 3/8" wide. The most common sizes of bicycle chain are 1/2"x1/8" and 1/2"x3/16"(the 2nd measurement refers to interior width of chain). We currently do not sell bicycle chain however it can be purchased locally at most bicycle shops and hardware stores.
