Speedometers
Internally Powered Speedometers
Internally powered speedometers use a replaceable battery to power themselves. They do not require any power wires to be attached to the vehicle they are being used
on. They automatically turn on when in use and turn off when they are not being used. The battery in these type of speedometers lasts a long time and rarely needs to be replaced.
Externally Powered Speedometers
Externally powered speedometers use electrical signals from the electric scooter, electric bike, electric ATV, or electric go
kart to power themselves and control the speedometer and other functions such as power, turn signal, and headlight indicators and battery power gauge. These type of speedometers
do not have or require an internal battery to operate.
