Motor Conversion Kit for Currie® Scoot-E Electric Scooter
The original brushless motor with built-in speed controller for the Currie Scoot-E electric scooter is discontinued and no longer available. This kit replaces the original brushless motor with a more reliable brushed motor with external speed controller and upgraded throttle. Plug-and-play installation. No cutting and splicing of wires is required. Kit includes 500 Watt brushed motor with 15 tooth freewheel sprocket, 500 Watt speed controller, and twist throttle with battery level indicator lights.

The Currie Scoot-E electric scooter was introduced in 1997. They were the first electric scooters made by Currie. These foundation electric scooter models helped pioneer the electric scooter industry. The Scoot-E scooters were the first electric scooters on the market which were designed and suitable for adults to use. Currie electric scooters are intentionally designed with common and interchangeable parts which is rare in the electric scooter industry, or any industry for that matter. The interchangeability of their parts makes them less disposable and more likely to be repaired in the future due to the availability of parts. We like to think of Currie electric scooters as the people's electric scooter. All of the parts used on the first model electric scooters which proved to be reliable were carried onto the newer models. Today we see many of the exact same parts and components that were used on these first model electric scooters used on the latest model electric scooters such as the battery pack and case, battery charger, battery charger port, wire connectors, power switch, fuse, brakes, handlebars, chain, rear sprocket, plus numerous other identical and interchangeable parts.
