Motor Conversion Kit for Currie® Oxygen NRG Electric Scooter
The original brushless motor with built-in speed controller for the Currie Oxygen NRG electric scooter is discontinued and no longer available. This kit replaces the original brushless motor with a more reliable brushed motor with external speed controller and upgraded throttle. Plug-and-play installation. No cutting and splicing of wires is required. Kit includes 500 Watt brushed motor with 15 tooth freewheel sprocket, 500 Watt speed controller, and twist throttle with battery level indicator lights.

The Oxygen NRG was Currie's second generation electric scooter. It had many improvements over Currie's first generation of electric scooters such as a more powerful and more reliable brushless motor made by Kollmorgan, spoked metal wheels and on later models cast aluminum alloy wheels, and a new rear band brake system. Early model Currie Phat Phantom electric scooters had spoked metal wheels which proved unsuitable because their spokes would break under normal use. Currie solved this problem by switching to solid cast aluminum alloy wheels on later models which proved to be extremely reliable and these type of wheels are still being used on today's newest model Currie electric scooters.
